Ford’s claim to producing the safest ute in Australia has now been backed up by an ANCAP 5-star rating and applies to all FG Falcon Utes fitted with head and chest-protecting airbags, Dynamic Stability Control and a floor-mounted transmission lever

The Falcon FG Ute scored 14.62 out of a possible 16 in the frontal offset crash test and 15.96 out of 16 in the side impact crash test and a total of 33.58 out of 37 for overall safety … the highest score ever recorded for a utility in Australia.

According to Ford the only vehicle to ever get a higher safety rating is the FG sedan.
