Nissan Leaf to be Built in the US

Nissan has now received Government support to build their latest electric vehicle … the Nissan Leaf … in the United States.

The plant … to be located in Tennessee … will have a vehicle capacity of 150,000 units a year and a battery capacity of 200,000 units a year.

There’s recently been some criticism of the technology that Nissan is using in the battery that will be used in the Leaf … with the suggestion that battery life will be reduced … so the difference in the figures mentioned above could be interesting
