Hope Davy s car gets even more recognition, dont ask me how i got to this site, but: what a nice car. thougt i know a lot about cars, but ive just learned about valiant in australia – i like the front better than the plymouths.

Davy – thanks for the kind words. What can I say … that’s just a car that really catches your eye.

I think I’ve only seen it around town that once but I just happened to have my camera with me and I couldn’t let a chance like that go by.

Nice snapshot mate this is my 1973 Valiant Charger Coupe 770 restored over a space of about 3 to 4 years in my garage in Torquay Hervey Bay!
Absolutely stoked to see an interest in my car what a great shot.
I still drive it around today and invested alot of time and dollars into it probably around 15 thousand NICE!!!!!

This is definitely a VJ, not a VK, as the VK had chrome surrounds around the front indicators. The VH-CM series Valiants were actually produced from 1971 to 1981. Valiants in other shapes were made here from 1961/2.

The valiant charger is a 1973 to 1975 model ether a VJ as Greg said or a Vk i am farly sure on, I have both a 1973 VJ and a 1975 VK Charger one of which (VJ) is currently being restored and modifiyed, The other has alot of rust and not sure whats happening with it, hope this helps out

Thanks for your input Greg – I have to admit that back when these Valiants were popular I was more into Minis and Mazda coupes so I really wasn’t sure which model this Valiant is.
