Car Sales Rise

The sales of new motor vehicles in Australia rose slightly in May despite the continuing increase in the price of petrol.

However, that rising price of fuel had a negative affect on the sale of SUVs where there was a slight decrease in the number sold during May. Sales of SUVs have now been falling for the last five months.
